Event Review: Bloomingdales's & InStyle Weddings

When I received my invitation to the Bloomingdale’s event hosted by InStyle Weddings, I was super excited. I love InStyle as much as I love Bloomingdale’s. Since it was a registry event, I brought along my fiancĂ©.

Located on the second floor of the Medinah Temple flagship store, we were greeted with glassed of champagne and lovely music from a string quartet. As we walked around the floor, there were stations of vendors. The event was slightly underwhelming but I was pleased to be able to meet the vendors that were there:

Some highlights:

  • LeLe Designs-- Gorgeous stationary designs for the modern and elegant bride. The designers work with each bride and groom for a unique look.
  • Love In Disguise-- Finding a delicious chocolatier in Chicago is not difficult. What sets this company apart is that they will customize the favors and the wrapping to your specification. The website doesn't do their work justice... but if you are interested, I'd contact them for more details!

  • Bobbi Brown—Knottie MrsSacco was on hand to give consultations to brides. If you’ve never tried Bobbi Brown, it’s a great line for bridal make up.

Since the event was intimate, we left a little over an hour later. We were given a gigantic goodie bag that included the book InStyle Weddings as well as a gorgeous crystal paperweight in the shape of a diamond.
