Are Carnations a Dirty Word?

For some, it is.  Charlotte called them filler flowers.  To me, they are gorgeous.

Casa Sugar recently did a post about bringing back carnations.  I do hope that carnations make a comback!  They are perfect if you like dense flowers.  Similar to roses, carnations are better for large arrangements.

I LOVE carnations! Picture #2 will actually be my reception decor. To me, the word rose is a much dirtier word than carnation.

I think carnations have just gotten a bad wrap from the sad food coloring dyed ones at the grocery store--which is definitely not a carnation in all it's glory.

I'm so glad you posted this and carnations are making a comeback. They are one of my favorite flowers. SUPER durable! They stand for up to two weeks! The made in bunches like for your wedding they are breath taking! Hurray for carnations!

Carns have had a bad rap for as long as I can remember but I am so excited to be using them "pave'd" for our wedding centerpieces. I think they have a fun, flirty look and should come back full force.
